How To Stop Your Car From Always Blowing Hot Air

These are the small clips that hold the legs for the flaps in place - if these are broken the flaps will stay open.
To get to them you will need a small phillips head screw driver and a flashlight.
Push the seats all the way back as far as you can.
Now look carefully under seats for loose change and the stash left there from the previous owner.
Now you will need to look behind the area where the console is, and on the side of the heater/ evap housing  use the flashlight to see the 2 phillips head screws that hold the plastic cover in place.
Now take the cover off and look at the condition of the clips you will see 2 type of clips.
This one :

and this " dog leg " one:

Usually its the first type - and it also should have one that has a small metal cap as shown in the images of the new one to keep the legs of the clip held together.
Hope this helps
let us know

the blue valve goes bad a lot !!

and all of these vacuum pieces work in conjuction with the operating levers that hold the clips in place
