Has anyone replaced the brushes in the starter. Looks like they are a ring around the comutator.
Thanks

How did you do the search? Bosch starter brushes?

Hesitation to leave my other post up because there was some spoofing ( somehow someone got into my post and added an emogie probably a baby dialed up on his play cell phone)ha ha.

So I took the BOSCH thing down but there are of course other reputable offers by OEM's out there being used specially 924's.

Not certain what I did to search except maybe "944 Starter brush board" most probably using a browser.

Maybe you fixed it by now, but I found that the newer high torque designs of today like the LActrical starter perform much better than the vintage ones. The starter sounds different and the car fires up much faster. Unless you are trying to win a show for originality you will never want to go back.

Try mid Ulster rotating electrics in Cookstown. Very knowledgeable and great prices.
Tell them Eugene sent you....
