Hi every one!
New to this forum and looking for help on steering me in the right direction on how to find out what my car is worth! I am the original owner of this factory orderd 1983 944 with all of the options possible. I drove to Old Lime Conn. after the break in period to have the turbo installed (best thing I ever did as far as a car improvement goes). So here are the specs: 31,300 original miles {mostly highway}, Black with brown/tan interior, polished three piece Epsilon racing wheels with gold honycomb centers and 205/55ZR16 front 245/45ZR16 Michlin Pilot Sport tires (less than 1000 mi on them). Still have the original optional stock rims with Dunlop tires that only have 50 mi on them stored in basement. $3,000 invested in Sony head unit / 10 disc changert ADS seperates with custom sub and plenty of wattage {sound system sounds great even at 100mph with the windows down} is that legal. FYI 165mph is the top speed. Have other stuff that would go with it. I am just researching at this point, been on the iternet all day and found out a lot of useful info so far. I have seen one that sold for 45k and one for 80k, their were only 20 made with one in a museum in Germany, would love to know how many are still out their running.
Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!  Grin
Thanks for L Grin Grinking

Do you have a pic of the passenger side of the engine, I'd like to see the exhaust/wastegate/turbo setup.

Thanks and good luck with your sale.

I had to sadly work that Saturday as per a last minute request.

I'll have some more photos up of my car.

I have a suggestion, that maybe we have a 924, 944, 928, 968 meet at Bauer Porsche, Oakland  on one of the upcoming Saturdays?   Of course we will welcome any other Porsche (356, 912, 911, 993, 997, Caymen, Boxster)  that shows!   If we get enough people, we can even set up a drive/lunch.

The Callaway 944 is one very rare car.  Of less than 20 originally tuned worldwide, people who own them, including myself know we have something absolutely special.  Any remaining Callaway 944's not destroyed by their owners keeps values going "north" on these super cars.  I have seen pricepoints for these sold at over $60,000 to rare Porsche collectors.  The Callaway its lighter and more powerful then the stock 944 turbo (951) and it sounds amazing with its throaty growl.
Let me know if you want to make any offers, maybe I can be encouraged to sell.   Roll Eyes

- let me know what photos you want to look at.

This pic is of my car infront off the Callaway shop in Corona, California. I went to show my car and met Pete Callaway, Reves Callaway's son who showed me around his shop and even took me on a drive in a 2010 Callaway Camaro.  He also showed me some of Corvette's shop and some really cool guys that worked over there.  The drive was about a 7 hour drive away from my house in Oakland, California.
