I think he meant to start his own thread.
Unless he is asking me if he can strip my car and take the money. Id say no..   Cheesy

Does anyone else have the strut bar and sway bar reinforcements? Looking at how much they help for the price before i buy..

I see that there is a linear throttle cam for throttle response, but its only for the 944 NA (no S or S2).

Is there anything similar for the S or does the S not need this?

Also, Under the hood i noticed these. They do not look stock to me.

Im thinking i should replace those lines especially the blue one to the clutch..
Are these stock (The white and Blue lines)?

Disregard the red ones. I made those to cover bare electrical wires.

I was wondering about the throttle cam also!

The fabric coated lines are factory. Blue is for your clutch (master to slave (I think) and the others are lower stressed vacuum lines (emissions related?).

So i put in an order to do this..
http://www.pcarworkshop.com/index.php/993_-_Converting_a_switchblade_remote

The light on my keychain hasn't been working. So upgrade to an LED seems like the best measure.

Also, had a buddy swing up on saturday, he has a boxter. Let him take the 944 for a spin, he was quite impressed. He thought everything felt great, but in my normal way.. more things will be done (brakes/suspension/clutch/timing belt) haha

So the other night when i took her for a ride, i realized the trunk cargo light isn't lighting up.

I tried replacing the bulb. I don't think its even getting power. Will be checking that more this weekend.

Any one know if there is another switch that feeds the trunk cargo light?

Got bored today since i was home early, decided to tackle the sway bar reinforcement pieces that i bought from Steve/Ian (Thanks Guys!!)

Install on Drivers side took a little bit to loosen the bolts and get it all in place. Its locked in and we are good to go on this side.

Passenger side, bit of a different story.
I believe from the Power steering leak i have that it has destroyed the bushing. I have never seen anything push out of the clamp like this.

Compared to Driverside up close:

Big difference. Think i may have to replace the bushing in the process on the passenger side.  Sad

Also have not been able to check into the trunk light yet. Thats on the to do list.

Happy New Year to all! Enjoy and be safe tonight!

Yes, the power steering fluid swelled/distorted the rubber bushing.  Petroleum products are very destructive to rubber parts.

Anyone have any recommendations on a good degreaser for under the front of my car?

Ive been crazy busy at work, we are in the process of moving to a new building. Looking to do the bushing and sway bar reenforcement at some point. Maybe take a day off when my companies move is all finished.  Cool

Finally got a chance to order the remaining sway bar bushings for the front. BIG THANK YOU to Ian and crew!

Will be tackling that at some point. Got myself a gopro style camera so i may start creating how to videos on these items. Depends on time and difficulty to edit and upload the vids online.

Also, i tried to plug a phone charger into the cig lighter in the 944. Seems that it doesn't want to hold in the plug into the lighter.. is there a spring or something that can be adjusted? Or is it just so old that these cig lighers arent made for the newer charge cable units that are made these days? Roll Eyes

Was able to get started yesterday on the sway bar bushings:

While i had the wheels off i noticed a red wire on the brake sensor wasn't connected to anything. After some back and forth, it was the ground wire. Took it off, cleaned and re-terminated it and reattached. Lets see if my brake light on the dash will turn off now!

Also does the 944S have only one brake sensor or does it use two? It looks like it has the slots for two but only one is connected.
