Testing for bent valves

Long story short, my car has suffered the dreadful timing belt breakage even after being inspected not too long ago. I'm worried now about bent valves and other problems created from this so what exactly would be the best way to test this out?

Compression and leak down tests will surely tell you if you have any bent valves. If your timing belt broke then you will likely have bent valves.

If you broke your timing belt with the engine running, you can safely assume your valves are bent.  But yes, leak-down test will confirm.  Sorry, good luck with the rebuild.
