Any help with low side port. Not any clearance for low side port. Any 90 fittings that will fit. Or notch the bracket.

I believe when I serviced mine last, I had to loosen the tension on the compressor, attach the fitting and re-tighten the compressor. Good luck.

I found a 90 degree swivel fitting to do this at OReilly's but it was behind the counter, not on a bubble wrap card hanging in the ac section.  Show the counter man what you want and he can find it. If not, I probably have a part number somewhere.

Otherwise, as Nando says, you have to loosen the compressor belt, install the service hose, retighten the compressor belt, charge the system, loosen the belt again, remove the hose, then retighten the compressor belt.

Wonderful system design, huh?  I wish that the Porsche engineer that signed off on this design could be condemned to an eternity of having to service them!

Good luck!

Saw a post for a different belt that must move the compressor so you can adapt the fitting. Iam going that route first. Thanks

If you are doing the charging yourself, just leave the R12 fittings and use R12 hoses with a R12 to R134 tank adapter. That is how I did mine and the A/C is always ice cold with no leaks. R134 fittings are nice, but you don't need them unless a shop is doing the work and in that case, let them figure out how to adapt new fittings. R134 is HFC, not CFC so it does no harm to the ozone like R12 so a little loss when screwing on the hose doesn't matter. If you want to do it the best way, or especially if the hoses are old and system is empty, cut the hoses and put new crimped metal fittings with built in high and low R134 adapters on so you don't have to jack up the car to charge and check. That is a little annoying.
