New to this, have no start condition

My grandpa bought an 83 porsche 944 and after he passed away it went to my dad, then my brother, now me. I got it in poor running condition, it did sit before but was started periodically. So far it has a new caps and rotors, spark plugs, fuel injectors, reference sensors (gapped at .8mm), fuel pump, DME fuel relay, and all the grounds are clean. I have spark, fuel, air.

If I let it sit for a week or so it has alot easier of a time starting up and once even got it to idle pretty well but if I try to start it on a daily basis it just wants to keep cranking over, might catch once in a while and try to fire off but quickly dies and is back to just cranking. Any ideas what could be going on?

test the leak down on the fuel rail. new OEM injectors?

after sitting with a leaking injector, the fuel will have time to evaporate.

2 other typical problems that you should check on:
1) there is usually a big crack in the J-boot on the bottom of the first rib by the throttle body.  This is a big vacuum leak.
2) look on ClarksGarage for the AFM tune up.

Dave - black 84 no longer exists. Sad 83 self destructed. All better now. Smiley
... Let's go hit some twisty roads! ...
