New Floor Mats

Hey All,

Just wanted to share my absolute delight with the purchase of a new pair of Lloyds floor mats for my buggy. Steve (this host) came through again!! The mats were ordered with the Porsche logo, closely emulating the original mat design. I'm still keeping the originals cause' who-knows, and they were getting a bit worn anyway. They were installed this afternoon and really brighten up the interior. Cheers!

They look great!  I've been contemplating getting the same for my car, seeing yours, I might do so a little sooner than planned!

Thanks! They arrived being just a tiny bit wider than the originals (maybe my original mats shrunk with age???) but they fit better in the foot wells. The original driver's side mat kept bunching up by the the clutch pedal whenever I stepped into the car which drove me nuts. The new mats have a backing that is supposed to minimize shifting and come with plastic anchors that screw into the carpet near the seats. I didn't want to make holes into the carpeting so I used a couple of metal clips that I had lying around that pierces the carpeting (very small insertion) and clamps on to the mat's edge.

How did you get the Porsche logo? All I see is plain mats on the site with no option for that. On the Lloyds site they want $33 to put Porsche on them which seems like a ripoff. I got what I though was a good deal on some new Porsche Tequipment ones a few years ago, but have been disappointed at the low quality. The foam backing shredded in short order, even with minimal driving they wear quickly and don't clean up well, and the holding clips don't hold well. The mats are thin and slippery on the back so as soon as the clip pulls loose (which is all the time) they slide up on the gas pedal.

Same price as without the logo $74.95? If so, I might be ordering them!

Looks like they also make a rear carpet without the spare tire cover...is this correct?
