Hello so I have a 87 944 n/a bought it without a cluster I bought a new one installed it and the lights on it work but none of the gauges work I'm at a loss on what to do.

I did check the #18 fuse and it works and passes current properly

There are several plugs on the cluster that can be tricky to get plugged in correctly.
For nothing to be working really sounds like you don't have it connected correctly.
I would review the plug connections. Maybe try cleaning the contacts with a pencil eraser.

Like tom said I would start with checking the connectors as that is what it sounds like is the problem.

You can also check your Term 15 relay in position G2 as that supplies power to your cluster but if the lights come on then I do not think the relay will be the problem.

Yes. I found a/c relay, headlight relay, window relay... Although what I call it is the g2 relay or the electrical relay.. so I don't exactly know what the relay is called.

Posting the part number of the relay may help.

G2 is your Teminal 15 relay. It is sometimes called a KL.15 relay. Term 15 is your main power source in your car.
